Tricia Read and Thomas Vivian were the winning couple of our First Wedding Photography Giveaway! Inspired by their love of the outdoors, geology, great food, and vintage collections, Tricia and Thomas had one seriously fantastic destination wedding on August 19th, 2017. Together for more than eight years, they kept things relaxed and rustic, by renting Camp Wrightwood for the weekend in the sweet little town of Wrightwood, CA on Mount San Antonio just Northwest of San Bernardino. Tricia and Thomas are a creative and do-it-yourself duo so all of the decor and decorations for the day were collected, made, and put together by the two of them with the help of their friends and family.
Joined by their closest friends and family, the intimate day was filled with thoughtful touches including homemade jam wedding favors from "Vivian Farms" and fruit filled pies, Mexican food, vintage centerpieces with cheery yellow bouquets, and ping-pong matches. After an emotional first-look, they were married in a beautiful ceremony under a huge oak tree by a close friend. Before their first kiss, they took communion together as husband and wife, and were serenaded on guitar by a talented friend. At sunset, their first dance took place under a chandelier of cafe lights and was followed by toasts from the best man and maid-of-honor, a delicious taco dinner, and mingling. After enjoying such a beautiful day, guests departed with baked goods and specialty, hand-poured coffee.
Tricia and Thomas, it was such a joy to be a part of your special day! Your love, support, and devotion for each other through life’s twists and turns is an inspiration. I wish you many wonderful adventures, and all the love in the world.
